In a dramatic turn of events, the inhabitants of the Land of Gods plead with the Sun God to temper his fury, as the destruction he has wrought is substantial. However, the Sun God remains unforgiving, his wrath unyielding. Meanwhile, Luffy and the Straw Hats find themselves captivated by the intricate world the Sun God has crafted. Determined not to destroy it during their escape, Luffy inquires about their next destination. Nami reassures him, reminding him that she memorized the blueprints she had previously gathered, confidently stating that they just need to continue straight to find the exit.

Suddenly, the Sun God ensnares the Straw Hats in a steel wire net, revealing that they are trapped in a detention center designed to contain even the mightiest of giants. Despite the odds, the Straw Hats refuse to give in. Zoro and Sanji swiftly cut through the net, allowing the crew to push forward. The Sun God, astonished by their strength, warns them of the domain of the Ear God ahead. However, he is left in disbelief upon discovering the remains of the Ear God, which turns out to be a creature known as the “Glut Bunny.”

As the Sun God laughs maniacally, he reflects on how his miniature garden has come alive since the arrival of the Straw Hats. He acknowledges Hajrudin’s respect for Luffy but dismisses Luffy himself. Meanwhile, the other captives begin to devise their escape plan while the Sun God is distracted. Usopp attempts to break a mirror with his Midori Boshi: Dokuro Bakuhatsu So, but the wall behind it remains intact. Luffy prepares to unleash his Gear Fourth, while Nami expresses her anger towards the Sun God. Sanji, too, is incensed, believing the Sun God has wronged Nami by undressing her, but Nami reassures him that the Sun God will face his “divine punishment.”

In a revealing flashback, we learn that the Sun God is actually Road, the navigator of the New Giant Warrior Pirates. He had sent his raven, Muginn, to retrieve the Thousand Sunny, where the Straw Hats were asleep after crossing the Sleeping Mist Belt. Road, who opposes Hajrudin’s allegiance to Luffy, seizes this opportunity to keep the Straw Hats as his “living dolls.” When the Straw Hats begin to awaken, Road quickly puts them back to sleep and traps them.

As Road revels in his control over the Straw Hats, Nami seizes the moment to zap him with Zeus, temporarily immobilizing him. With the Sun God incapacitated, Luffy breaks through the wall, leading the crew to their long-awaited escape. What lies beyond the wall brings a smile to Luffy’s face, hinting at new adventures ahead.

I actually think the Strawhats turning miniature while entering the giant’s country as a twist is cliche and meh. It doesn’t go any where lol… so a human captures them, have a few chapters of side story being miniature, and then they have to turn back to their normal size and continue the adventure on Elbaf? That’s just a waste of time.

Evil is a stretch.. Saturn was evil.. Road, so far he is just interesting… different than a simple giant. Not sure where evil is coming from. Also, wanting all the new Giant Warrior Pirates to be clones of each other or single minded is boring, and is the opposite of character development. Should Oda focus on character development of a lot of secondary characters this late in the journey or will that delay the end of One Piece, I mean that’s up to Oda. I couldn’t care less if he takes an extra five years.. better for me. I just want him to tell his story. If he thinks there is a reason to flesh out the goals and objectives of more giants while visiting Elbaf, there is probably a good reason for this. He knows what he is doing. If you feel he is going slow… take a break and read something else so the chapters build up and then come back to read half an arc or more than a single chapter.. way too many good mangas that need more readers waiting to be read while waiting for one manga to build up more chapters.

Chapter seems meh, I probably would have liked it more back during earlier one piece. Maybe I’ll enjoy it once we get the whole volume but as it stands outside of the nostalgic factor it’s just rather bland.
But I am intrigued by the sleeping dog and the best part was the flashback with Hangman and Hajrudin imagine this divide will lead into the major plot of the arc.

Only been like 3-4 chapters and people already expecting crazy things huh? Relax and be patient. Also Luffy using Gear 4th move in base form without needing to transform is actually huge and in chapter 1127 Luffy doing Gear 4th was not a mistake then!!! I’m guessing Luffy is gonna try to do that with Gear 5th which is why he is constantly only transforming in Gear 5th on scrub enemies so he can master it and not need to transform.

Okay Oda been showing us partial transformations after showing that Luffy is or has mastered that gear. I want to see a miscellaneous luffy transformation. Like his left hand is G3, right foot is G4, right hand is old/frail/grandpafied, and head is G5. The last limb is normal. Maybe Loki will “trick” luffy’s powers to do this.
