Netflix recently released an exciting new video for the upcoming second season of the live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s beloved One Piece manga. The video features the cast participating in a table read, and it wraps up with a tantalizing glimpse of Chopper from behind, hinting at his much-anticipated appearance.
Creator Eiichiro Oda has confirmed that Season 2 will cover the storyline leading up to the Drum Island arc. This means fans can expect to see key locations such as Loguetown, Reverse Mountain, Twin Cape, Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and, of course, Drum Island.
The streaming giant has also announced a lineup of new cast members for this season, including:

The first season of the live-action series premiered exclusively on Netflix in August 2023, featuring eight episodes instead of the ten that were initially reported.
For Season 2, Joe Tracz, known for his work on Percy Jackson and the Olympians, joins the team as a writer, executive producer, and co-showrunner, alongside Matt Owens, who served in the same roles during the first season. Steve Maeda, who was also a co-showrunner in Season 1, continues as an executive producer. Production for the new season is already underway, and Deadline reports that it is expected to be released in 2025.
