Chapter Summary: “Liv Doll” (生人形 (リブドール) in Japanese)

Thanks to Redon, we have a detailed overview of this 17-page chapter, Chapter 1,129.

In “Ogre Child Yamato’s Golden Harvest Surrogate Pilgrimage, Vol. 16,” we find Yamato arriving at Amigasa Village, where Otama is seen training with Shinobu, who has once again gained weight.

The chapter picks up from where the previous one left off, with the townspeople panicking as they notice the fire in the room through the cracks in the mirror.

The “Sun God” enters the diorama and discovers the skeleton of the “Ear God” in the forest, which is actually a fierce carnivorous rabbit known as “Glutbunny” (グルトバニー in Japanese). The “Sun God” is enraged.

Sun God: “How dare you ruin my roo… temple and harm my pe… servants!!”

Luffy advises Iskat, the giant cat, to avoid destroying any buildings, as he wants to preserve the Sun God’s LEGO creations. Nami memorizes the entire map before discarding it, explaining that it represents the layout of the giant room.

Nami: “If you look closely, the clouds are just cotton hanging from the ceiling.”

Luffy: “We just need to keep going straight ahead… We’ve already covered half of this nation.”

The full map of the “Sun God Room” reveals that the diorama occupies two-thirds of the space, with the “Sun God’s Temple” housing his golden LEGO creations. A “Giant Bonfire Statue” is centrally located in the diorama, surrounded by soft spring water, while a Great Tree is positioned near the exit of the temple room.

I actually think the Strawhats turning miniature while entering the giant’s country as a twist is cliche and meh. It doesn’t go any where lol… so a human captures them, have a few chapters of side story being miniature, and then they have to turn back to their normal size and continue the adventure on Elbaf? That’s just a waste of time.

Evil is a stretch.. Saturn was evil.. Road, so far he is just interesting… different than a simple giant. Not sure where evil is coming from. Also, wanting all the new Giant Warrior Pirates to be clones of each other or single minded is boring, and is the opposite of character development. Should Oda focus on character development of a lot of secondary characters this late in the journey or will that delay the end of One Piece, I mean that’s up to Oda. I couldn’t care less if he takes an extra five years.. better for me. I just want him to tell his story. If he thinks there is a reason to flesh out the goals and objectives of more giants while visiting Elbaf, there is probably a good reason for this. He knows what he is doing. If you feel he is going slow… take a break and read something else so the chapters build up and then come back to read half an arc or more than a single chapter.. way too many good mangas that need more readers waiting to be read while waiting for one manga to build up more chapters.
