Chapter 1,130: “The Cursed Prince”.
Ogre Child Yamato’s Golden Harvest Surrogate Pilgrimage, Vol. 17: “Yamato is napping with Otama. At that moment, a shadow approaches and a mysterious hand grabs Yasuie sword to steal it.”
Chapter starts at Elbaph ship. Franky announces to the giants that they would like to stop searching. They have done all they can, Jinbe even asked the sharks to search in nearby seas but they didn’t find anything.
So their best option now is to trust their nakama and go to wait at Elbaph. The giants agree and Elbaph ship continues its journey.
Cut to Luffy’s group, they get out from Road’s diorama and find that they were inside a giant castle (similar to LEGO castle) in the middle of snowy land surrounded by forests and mountains. The castle (that is on top of one of the mountains) has a very long bridge connected to a huge tree branch up in the sky.
Nami is getting dizzy from the scale of everything. Suddenly, they see someone crossing the bridge toward the castle and hide.
The two person coming to the castle are “Goldberg” and “Gerd”, two members of the “New Giant Warrior Pirates” (the giant pirate crew led by Hajrudin). Next to Gerd is “Piper”, her giant owl.
Gerd: “I wonder, why Hajrudin let such a weirdo be in our crew?”
Goldberg: “Well because he has true skills as a navigator.”
Gerd: “I hate him!! He’s more of a “shame of Elbaph” than Loki is.”

Goldberg and Gerd come to the castle because owl Piper detected Road’s crow carrying a ship. As trespassing is illegal in Elbaph, Road has a habit of taking nearby ships and claims them as trespassers. That way Road can lock them up.
Gerd says if she sees that Road is kidnapping someone, she will report this to Jarul-sama (the old giant from Big Mom past, he’s now around 408 years old). Nami hears the “trespassing is illegal” part, so she orders everyone to remain hidden.
As Goldberg and Gerd knock the door of the castle calling for Road, Straw Hat crew run across the bridge. Below the bridge is a forest and many giant wolves.
But in the middle of the bridge, Luffy stops. He says he has been feeling it since they were inside the block kingdom, and Zoro and Sanji must have felt it too.
Luffy: “It’s a “scream” of a man so powerful that I can feel it all over my body!!”
Luffy wants to go check out the source of that “scream”. Sanji says he will stay with the group and stops Zoro from going with Luffy.
Sanji: “This Marimo should never be allowed to enter any forest!!”
Luffy tells other to go on ahead and then he jumps down from the bridge to the forest below.
Cut back to Elbaph ship, the News Coo deliver morning’s World Economy Newspaper. One of the news shocks Dorry and Brogy: it is report that the “Giant Warrior Pirates” attacked Egghead Island.
Brogy: “Why would they make up lies like this!!
I can’t read anything, newspaper is too small.”
Robin: “I will read it then.
The “Giant Warrior Pirates” has awakened from their 100 years slumber!! Together with Yonkou “Straw Hat Luffy”, they set Egghead aflame.
Both captains of the “Giant Warrior Pirates”, “Brogy the Red Orge” and “Dorry the Blue Orge”, will have a 1.8 billion Berries bounty placed on their heads!!”
We can see new Dorry and Brogy Wanted posters, with pictures took in Egghead and with new 1,800,000,000 Berries bounty each one.
Brogy: “1.8 billion!?”
Dorry: “It is not our intention to be back!!”
Giant Warrior Pirate: “Bosses used to have a “100 million” bounty, right? What a boost!!”
Robin: “Quite a bit of inflation has happened between 100 years ago and now!!
But… this is a reasonable number for the leaders of Elbaph Warriors…”
The newspaper also reports that Luffy is the one who killed Vegapunk, with huge picture of Luffy using Gear 5 form. Robin sees the photo and stops because she notices an “X” mark on Luffy’s arm in newspaper picture.
Robin: “Did this mark always appear on Luffy’s arm… when he becomes “the most free”?”
Franky: “Huh? I don’t really remember. After all he’s always bouncing about so you can’t see clearly.”
Robin: “… It is a bit unnatural.
His arm is swinging here, but the mark remains clear as day…
I think I have seen it somewhere before…”
Dorry: “Anyhow, to think that “Straw Hat” is now standing equal to “Red Hair”!!”
Brogy: “And it also seems like one of our youngsters, Hajrudin, has become you guys’ underling!!”
Kashii: “All things considered he’s still a “son of the king”. He was a rough brat I believe.
They wanted to come pick you guys up too, but the reason only us seniors came is because there’s a little trouble happening back in Elbaph.”
Franky: “Trouble?”
It’s explained that while Dorry and Brogy were absent, Loki (an official “son of the king”) was born. He was an evil giant called “the cursed prince”.
Loki murdered “King Harald” (“A”), his own father, to claim a “legendary Akuma no Mi” that passed down in the royal family (we don’t see King Harald in this chapter). And then Loki ate that Akuma no Mi (no more information about it in this chapter).
The warriors of Elbaph managed to detain Loki, but recently he was on the verge of breaking free, so they need the strength of all warriors of Elbaph to restrain Loki. Franky is shocked that there’s someone so powerful they need all Giant Warriors’ power to lock him up.
Cut back to Luffy. In an ABSOLUTELY EPIC double page, Luffy finds a huge giant tied up with massive chains in the middle of snow. That giant is “Loki”.
Loki design is BADASS. Loki is a thin and muscular giant. He has a very long hair (with 2 braids in the front) and a goatee in the chin. He has some tattoos on his arms (not clear yet what are them). He wears normal giant outfit but in his buckle’s belt there’s a Jolly Roger with a crown. He wears a black helmet with 2 long horns (like the Loki from Marvel Universe) and he has an axe on his back. Finally we can see that Loki’s eyes are covered with bandages…
Loki talks to Luffy. When Loki talks his long tongue is hanging out (like Doflamingo). Loki: “Name yourself…!!!”
Luffy: “I’m Luffy!! The man who will become the King of the Pirates!!”
Loki: “King…!?”
Luffy: “Where is this place and who are you?”
Loki: “This is “Warland” the land of warriors of Elbaph!!!
Devoting itself to war in the past, it is the world’s most powerful nation!!!”
In the FUCKING EPIC final double page of the chapter, we finally see full Elbaph after years of waiting (official name is “Elbaph” that’s why I used that name instead of Elbaf in all the summary).
Elbaph is a landscape of mountains with the colossal tree “Yggdrasil” in the center that dwarfs all of them (“Yggdrasil” is at least 12/13 times larger than the mountains). There are many waterfalls pouring down from the giant tree.
“Yggdrasil” has a middle layer formed by its branches that surrounds its trunk. That layer seems to be where the giants live, because we can see a majestic castle and village on it. There are also some cannons facing outside. And finally we can see a huge sword piercing through the middle layer and seems to reach all the way to the ground.
This is a very simple Elbaph’s sketch, Oda’s art is much, much better.
In the last panel of the chapter Loki continues talking with a malevolent smile…
Loki: “And I am “Loki”, the “Sun God” who will bring the end to this world!!!”
End of the chapter.
One Piece will be on break next 2 weeks because Eiichiro Oda needs to do some research. One Piece will resume in Weekly Shonen Jump #50/2024 (on sale 11th November).

Recap of Previous Events

Before we delve deeper, let’s quickly recap what transpired in the previous chapter. Apologies for missing last week’s full summary; the chapter itself was somewhat lackluster. The Straw Hats managed to escape from their captor, the so-called “Sun God,” who turned out to be Road, a member of the New Giant Warrior Pirates and a subordinate of Hajrudin. Road encountered the Strawhats while they were unconscious on their way to Elbaf, and he experienced a crisis of conscience about joining Luffy’s Grand Fleet. This led him to conduct a bizarre prison experiment, attempting to control them, but ultimately, the Straw Hats easily broke free from his makeshift fortress.

One Piece Chapter 1130 spoiler

Current Developments

As we enter this chapter, we finally see the other Strawhats making their way to Elbaf. The focus has primarily been on the original five members recently, but now the entire crew is on the move. Newspaper reports reveal that Luffy has been accused of killing Vegapunk and destroying Egghead with the help of the Giant Warriors. This revelation raises questions about how the Straw Hats will manage public relations after Vegapunk’s significant transmission regarding the Void Century and his subsequent demise.

The Gorosei continue to manipulate the narrative, ensuring that they remain unchallenged in their lies. This situation positions Luffy and the crew as pariahs among those who are unaware of the truth, giving the Navy further justification to pursue them.

Dorry and Broggy’s Bounties

Dorry and Broggy’s new bounties are set at an impressive 1.8 billion berries each, placing them among the top bounties in the series. They currently rank around 11th highest, just below Crocodile, whose bounty stands at 1.965 billion berries. This increase in bounties is particularly amusing, considering how overpowered they seem, especially after their recent encounter with the Gorosei.

Loki’s Introduction

Loki, who is introduced in this chapter, has a dark past; he killed his father to obtain a legendary Devil Fruit. Luffy’s encounter with him occurs while Loki is chained to a tree, raising intriguing questions about his powers and the circumstances surrounding his punishment. The chapter features stunning double-page spreads showcasing the grandeur of Elbaf, including its castles and villages.

Elbaf Trivia

  • Elbaf’s Significance: Elbaf is known as the homeland of the Giants in the One Piece universe, and it has been hinted at for years. The lore surrounding Elbaf is rich with Norse mythology references, particularly concerning its legendary warriors and the concept of honor.

  • Loki’s Role: In Norse mythology, Loki is a complex figure often associated with mischief and chaos. His character in One Piece seems to draw inspiration from this, suggesting that he may not fit the typical mold of a villain or ally.

  • Devil Fruits: The legendary Devil Fruit that Loki possesses is yet to be revealed, but given the context, it could be a Mythical Zoan type, which would align with the high stakes and powers seen in the later stages of One Piece.

Conclusion

As we anticipate the next chapters, it’s clear that Loki’s character will play a pivotal role in the unfolding narrative. With the Straw Hats now officially in Elbaf, the potential for conflict and alliances is ripe. Keep an eye out for further developments, and remember, there will be a break of at least two weeks following this chapter. In the meantime, I’ll be sharing content on theories and reactions, so stay tuned!

So wow they actually blamed Luffy for Egghead’s destruction alongside the Giant warrior pirates crew. And Dorry and Broggy get new bounties instead of the straw hats themselves. Given by how their bounties were only 100M it’s probably now at 1.88 billion I assume.

Bounty numbers have become broken since Jack appeared with his 1 Billion. The bounties for all Yonkou Commanders should remain between 700-900 Million, and 2 Billion for the Yonko. Therefore, Luffy’s bounty after Whole Cake Island should be exactly 1 Billion. Also, all ex-warlord should got 900M-1B except 1.5B for Mihawk rather than those huuuge boost bounties

So Vivi put the X on Luffy’s picture to signal her return to the Strawhats!

CALLED IT!! hahaha. Although, it was super obvious from a narrative perspective. The foreshadowing from Imu was too strong, the picture he had of her was the start of it but then he mentioned Lili, and Killed Cobra. But it was set in stone as soon as she ran off with Wapol thus becoming a fugitive. The most obvious theory comes true again!

I am very interested in Elbaph already. Road claiming to be the Sun God and now Loki.. I wonder what their lore on Nika is? I highly doubt Oda will make Luffy try claim he is the Sun God Nika but I do think that the Giants will proclaim him as such when he transforms to G5 and takes down Loki.

My assumptions of Loki needing help appear to be wrong at this point.

The only way I think the SHs are going to interpret the message from Vivi is to come get/find her. That means the message also needs to convey a location to them, so there is probably another hidden message or a vivre card somewhere. Easy for Robin to work out the details if needed. The SHs would probably leave Elbaph immediately if they found out about it right now.

I’m not sure about Loki. If we go by lore he is the trickster. But Oda is Oda, so who knows. A lovestruck and heartbroken man is entirely possible.

Is the sketch at least accurate? Because if so, that is a huge sword sticking in the tree. It is bigger than the mountains. It reminds me of the big skull on Onigashima. Do we know what race it belonged too?

Well the Bounty increase explained by inflation makes sense + the recent events. But man billions everywhere.

At this rate everyone wanna be the sun god hahahaha. I never felt that what Loki did was like what blackbeard did despite the early spoilers, doesn’t seem like the full picture even if he did kill the king. Loki’s strength may have been superb prior to eating the fruit as most people require time to master their powers so I think he was probably already a beast before the legendary df. For me, Loki seems more like Garou from One Punchman. Or Kaiba… Or vegeta. Basically an antihero. I was talking about jinbe level giants in my other post but, Loki may very well surpass that and be a katakuri level giant. That would be so awesome.

The full summary is great. Really can’t wait to see the real Elbaph and more of Haj’s crew. Usopp’s and Haj’s meeting might be an emotional one…which is going to really test Usopp I think. His bravery on Dressrosa is one thing but plenty of people on Elbaph is going to test him to see if his name lives up to God Usopp. I still don’t think he is going to necessarily become super strong but if he can incorporate giant plants into his weapons, that can be a game changer…or if his weapon consumes a fruit…

Damn so the oldest giants right now are over 400 years old. That definitely means we will learn a lot about Void Century in this arc considering when these old giants were young the oldest giants of the time would have literally been alive during the war.

The DF being passed down in the kings lineage is also interesting. Confirms whatever it is will be new and definitely super powerful if Loki killed over it. Seems Hajurdin is Loki’s brother or in some way related to Harald, if not by blood by some thing like adoption. Guess Luffy will have the backing of the giants for sure after this arc adding to his status.

Love that we also learned that Loki is going to be insanely powerful. This will be Luffy’s 1v1 opponent of the arc that forces him to maybe reach the next level of Yonko and prepare him to face opponents like BB and Shanks. Depending on the DF power Loki has it might mean Luffy will have to strengthen his haki a lot to hurt him which was clearly a problem he had with Warcury.

Vivi definitely responsible for the X on the hand. It may be her way of saying she is still their nakama and that she’s alive and safe for now. The fact its in the newspaper alone is a clue that she is close to Morgan’s which might be how they end up finding her.

Great chapter, epic in scale and story. Great introduction. Loki was chained up in the mythology as well and his release was a sign of Ragnarök, the end of the world.

Just like @zetsu banned said Oda loves to play with perception, heck it might even be his favorite theme. There’s more to this than just Loki murdering his father and taking the fruit. Also, I’m I the only one confused over the whole “son of the king”. Was Hajrudin adopted?

Also, I said it before and I’ll say it again. What in god’s name was Lola going to do with all of that?!

Interesting chapter. It kinda looks like Loki is being framed as outright evil but a bit that stood out to me is that luffy was sort of… drawn to him? Is this really an enemy? I get more of a rival feel from it.

I feel like 1.8 billion for dorry and brogy is too much (even if the chapter says otherwise). Yonko crew’s number twos were between the 1.5 and 1 billion mark so far… Dorry and brogy getting that high right out the bat sounds insane. I can buy them being powerful and big threats but this feels a bit disrespectful of yonko crews. Their bounties are higher than Hancock’s even though hancock can fart away enemy armies with gesture. Hancock is so dangerous that BB thought it wise to specifically target her just to not have to deal with the possibility of her being an enemy. I can buy that the giant pirates are a more dangerous crew than the amazon pirates even but 1.8 billion was an unheard amount not that long ago…

Going back to the chapters when Big Mom was a kid in Elbaph, I guess I wasn’t noticing but they already had Yggdrasil as the main feature of the land and maybe even the waterfalls.

This whole time we’ve been waiting to find out what it looked like but we should have had an idea. Nice tease Oda.

Also when Mother Carmel created Pandora she said it was the Sun God. I don’t think that was the start of the Lore of the Sun God, which was still likely Joyboy or earlier, but they’ve been worshiping the Sun God and his miracles a lot – everyone wants to be the descendant.
