The motion poster showcased David Corenswet in the classic Superman costume, complete with the red trunks, as he speeds through the air with a stirring musical score. Gunn captioned the post: “Look up. #Superman is only in theaters July 11.”

James Gunn announced the completion of the shooting schedule for Superman on social media on July 30, 2024. In a heartfelt message, he wrote, “And that’s a wrap. God bless our cast and crew whose commitment, creativity, and hard work have brought this project to life. I set out to make a movie about a good man in a world that isn’t always so much. The goodness, kindness, and love I’ve encountered daily on the set have inspired me and pushed me forward when I felt too spent to move on my own.”

This film will mark the first feature film following Gunn and Peter Safran’s appointments as the new heads of DC.
