Liam Payne, the former One Direction singer, has tragically passed away after falling from his hotel balcony in Argentina, as reported by Onepiecetrend. The incident occurred on Wednesday evening at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires. Eyewitnesses revealed that Liam fell from his third-floor room, although the circumstances surrounding the fall—whether it was accidental or intentional—remain unclear.

Photos obtained by TMZ show Liam’s body on the hotel deck, surrounded by tables and chairs, with visible tattoos including a clock on his left forearm and a scorpion on his abdomen.

Witnesses reported that the fall happened shortly after 5 PM, and noted that Liam had exhibited erratic behavior in the hotel lobby earlier, including smashing his laptop and needing assistance to return to his room.

Emergency responders and police are currently at the scene, with authorities covering the area with a red tent as they begin their investigation into the circumstances of Liam’s death.

Liam had recently been in Argentina to attend a Niall Horan concert, where he reunited with his One Direction bandmates. He was just 16 when he joined the group, which skyrocketed to fame after their debut on “The X Factor” in 2010. One Direction became one of the world’s biggest boy bands before disbanding in 2015, with Liam recognized as one of their key songwriters.

In June 2021, Liam opened up about his struggles with alcohol and prescription drug addiction during his time with One Direction, revealing that he experienced severe suicidal thoughts at one point.

Just days before his death, reports surfaced regarding his ex-fiancée, Maya Henry, claiming he had left her after asking her to terminate her pregnancy. Her legal team had been attempting to send him a cease-and-desist letter to prevent further contact.

At this time, it remains uncertain whether these personal issues contributed to his troubling behavior at the hotel.

Liam Payne was only 31 years old.
